What makes the Dallas Dog Palace so special?

So many things! For starters, we have one of the largest outdoor play areas in all of Dallas! My dog (Jules) is very active but I noticed she rarely had much space to run, so we designed the Palace to have a lot of outdoor space for running. Our overnight boarding spaces are also really nice and spacious. We invested in the best suites available on the market and keep them very clean. We emphasize activity and play, so we don't actually leave our overnight guests in their suites for long periods of time. They are usually outside running around the yards.

What is an orientation day?

An orientation day is free and required before a dog can participate in daycare or stay overnight at the Dallas Dog Palace. Just like their owners, dogs are unique individuals. During their orientation day, our Pack Leaders will ensure that your furry friend feels comfortable and safe in a new environment. This typically involves monitoring their temperament and play style to help the pack, both human and canine, select the best fit for your best friend. Orientations are offered Monday-Friday, depending on availability. Please plan to drop off by 9 am.

When is checkout for boarding?

Checkout for our boarding guests is at 11 am, after which you will be charged for a day of daycare at our standard rates.

What do dogs do at daycare?

The possibilities are endless at the Palace! While the packs are on a schedule rotating between indoor and outdoor play, they have the freedom to relax in the shade, sunbathe, play fetch in the Zoom Zone, practice their acrobatic skills on the agility courses, play tug-of-war, splash in baby pools, or just observe the birds, squirrels, and neighborhood cats. Perhaps your best friend would enjoy a walk or even a run on the Santa Fe Trail?! These extra-curricular activities can be scheduled as well.

What is the schedule when dogs board?

Unless requested, all dogs participate in daycare when spending the night at the Palace. Medications and special needs situations will be handled by our experienced Pack Leaders.

What should I bring when my dog boards?

All dogs are required to wear a collar and/harness and enter the Palace on leash. Please plan to bring your dog’s favorite food labeled with serving sizes. Medications and instructions for administration should also be provided. If your dog has a special bed or blanket, you are welcome to bring it as well, although we provide beds for all guests. Please, no toys.

What is the cancellation policy for boarding?

You may cancel any time prior to seven (7) days before your stay. Cancellations less than seven days in advance will incur a $50 fee. For reservations that include major holidays, cancellations less than two weeks in advance will incur a $75 fee.

Can I get a refund on a daycare package?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds on our daycare packages.

What do you do in emergency situations?

Our Pack Leaders are trained on how to handle dog aggression and temperament, basic manners, and canine first aid and CPR. Rest assured that your best friend is in good hands at the Dallas Dog Palace. For any illness or major issues, we will contact you and your vet and then transport your dog for care for a medical services fee of $75. In the event that your dog presents with a contagious illness like kennel cough or canine influenza, we will take them to the vet, isolate them from the rest of the pack, and ask you to pick them up immediately. If you are unable to pick your dog up that day, we will have to isolate your dog in a room away from the others and assign a team member to give it special care until they are picked up. As a result, we charge an additional $115 fee for each day the dog is in quarantine in our facility.

Can you give my dogs medication?

Yes - we can give your dog oral medication. We do not provide shots or perform other medical procedures.

Do you allow my breed of dog?

With our focus on group play, we are not able to accept Pit Bull, American Bulldog, American Staffordshire (AmStaff Terrier), Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, or any predominant mix of these breeds or other power breeds. The best option is to call or email us if you have questions about your dog. We love all dogs and want to have your friend join our pack if at all possible.

Can my puppy play and stay?

Yes, puppies over 16 weeks old who have received their vaccinations are invited to play during daycare. Puppies over 6 months old must be spayed or neutered.

Do you offer food?
